Ruby overheard her hardworking Trainer casually mutter, “I want some Kentucky…” She could have sent someone from the house to buy it, but one way or another she knows the Trainer’s tastes best, so she had a car brought out and ordered it herself. Chicken is high in protein, so as long as she doesn’t slack on the calorie count, lunch should be fine. Thinking that, she bought two portions and stepped out of the shop—only to find the Trainer right there. He said he’d come because he wanted it after all. “That won’t be necessary.” Ruby smiles. For the Trainer, that’s not even the half of it. Ruby says she’ll have lunch with him. The same Ruby who used to say that if there’s no business, she doesn’t see the point of sharing a meal. He almost wanted to pour out all his gratitude to Ruby—but if he did, she’d surely pull away. So he only said thank you.
