Sturgeons are not sharks. They look similar and even have “shark” in the Japanese name, but taxonomically they are completely different animals. They’re farther apart than humans and crows. Skeleton, organs, and eggs all differ from sharks. That doesn’t diminish how appealing sturgeons are, though. Sharks and sturgeons are both fascinating animals.
